SUN/AGE SPOTS (LIVERSPOTS, SOLAR LENTIGINES)

Age or sunspots are changes in skin colour associated with older skin. They’re harmless flat brown discolorations which usually appear on the backs of the hands, neck and face and are a sign of over exposure to sunlight.

TREATMENT

A fine probe is used to gently lift and remove the top layer of the effected pigmented skin only, revealing the clear, non-pigmented skin below.

AFTER TREATMENT

Healing crusts will form on the area of treatment which will naturally fall away over the next few days as your own individual healing process takes place. The newly developed skin will initially appear pink or paler than the surrounding skin but overtime will normalise.Aftercare instructions are given and must be adhered to.

Sun/Liver/Age Spots

These are changes in skin colour that are a sign of sun damage and usually associated with older skin.
They are harmless brown flat discolorations which usually appear on the backs of hands, neck, chest and face.

TREATMENT
Electrolysis is a quick and effective treatment without any of the side effects. Only the very top layer of the epidermis is treated. A fine layer of skin is removed and one treatment often proves successful.

AFTER TREATMENT
Once removed from the surface of the skin then a superficial scab will form. This will naturally fall away and appear pink than the surrounding area. With diligent aftercare the area will normalise over time.
Once the skin is healed the area will be more vulnerable to UV exposure, so a high factor, good quality SPF must be used at all times to help prevent it returning.
